The Gentleman Quilter is born
How The Gentleman Quilter was born you ask? Well from a quilting family of course!
I’m a fourth generation quilter. The practicality of quilting was passed down from my immigrant maternal great grandmother to her daughter who was known for beautiful embroidery (stop by and see the piece in our shop!) and added this dimension to quilt making.
My grandmother passed the expertise onto my mom who brought basic patterns alive with vibrant colors. She began “strip quilting” after seeing Eleanor Burns demonstrate the method & made hundreds of quilts. So clearly it’s in my genes!
But the hook was last year during a visit to a quilt shop in Ft Collins, CO with long arms for rent, and seeing the ease of loading the machine and designing the pattern. A year later….here we are!
