Baby it's cold outside!

Most of the US is caught in this frigid weather since just before Christmas.  It’s good Nancy decided to finish this flannel quilt she had started for her daughter and make it a Christmas present!!  It’s perfect for this weather - nice and toasty warm!!

She started this quilt with her Mom a few years ago, but with kids, works, & a very full schedule, it was on the shelf awhile.  She decided to have us quilt it so she could give it to her daughter at Christmas.

To compliment her top which was a larger plaid border for the plaid top, we chose a fun floral pattern. We used purple thread to give a nice contrast and go with the binding.

Two complimentary flannel fabrics used, the smaller plaid as top with the larger plaid as border.

As is often the case, the back is just as fun as the front!  The bright yellow flannel is the perfect contrast for the purple thread & really brightens up a cold, winter day.  The fact purple is Alyssa’s favourite colour doesn’t hurt either. 😉

The purple thread and pretty floral pattern jumps right off the yellow flannel fabric and says cheery and happy!

Thanks, Nancy, for using TGQ! We’re happy Alyssa is loving her quilt and getting a lot of use out of it!
